One-to-one private midwifery care provided by an expert midwife.
As a midwife I am an expert in normal pregnancy, birth and up to 28 days afterwards. However if during any of the consultations your checks reveal that there is any deviation from normal I am required by our codes of conduct, to refer you to an Obstetrician for a medical opinion.
There are no long waits in clinics. All appointments are typically an hour long, where you have the undivided attention of the midwife so that you have ample time to discuss all your pregnancy concerns and plan for the birth of your baby. Consultations are designed to provide support, empowerment, guidance and expert, research-based information.
Consultations can be arranged according to your own specifications and as frequently as you choose. Short notice appointments are generally available and for the amount of time you require.
AnteNatal appointments are an opportunity to check on the health of you and your baby, to discuss any worries you may have and to ensure that your care is ‘on track’. Consultations will include measuring your blood pressure, testing your urine, ensuring that any oedema (swelling) is within normal limits, to check the growth and position of your baby and to listen to the baby’s heartbeat.
I will have sufficient time to explain and discuss in an unhurried situation, all of the issues that you want to cover during each consultation. This time is all yours.........because you deserve the best. You may choose additional checks for reassurance or total AnteNatal care, whichever is right for you, I can help to make the difference.
