I aim to keep classes focused and fun. This class provides all the relevant information in a simple format ideal for parents and carers. The aim is that you leave our courses feeling empowered and more confident in your ability to understand, prevent, recognise and immediately respond to the needs of children.

An emergency life saver class to teach how to respond confidently when a baby or child is choking, not breathing or unresponsive.

Learn to:

• Provide correct artificial breathing and chest compressions,
• Recognise and respond to choking,
• Put your baby or child into the recovery position

The content of this Basic Life Support class complies with both British and European Resuscitation Guidelines and is internationally recognised as appropriate for the first responder action required to save a baby’s or child’s life.

What you can do as a first responder when a baby or child is injured. It covers the most common accidents or injuries:

• Electric shock
• Major trauma
• Drowning
• Head Injury
• Limb Injury
• Wounds/Cuts
• Eye Injury
• Nose bleeds
• Overdose/Poisoning
• Burns/scalds
• Allergic reactions
• Fever Management
• Medical Emergencies incuding convulsions, meningitis and abdominal pain

I teach you what your objective should be as the first responder in each of these scenarios, how to assess the severity and how to respond.
